Licensed Naturopathic Physician in OR & WA
Naturopathic medicine has received its foundations in many healing traditions spanning the globe. I humbly acknowledge that many of these healing techniques are rooted in Indigenous medicine systems and over time have become what we now call "naturopathic medicine." From time immemorial, nature has been the ultimate healer. Naturopathic medicine gives reverence to the innate ability of systems to heal.
Naturopathic medicine offers a wide toolkit for its practitioners: botanical medicine, diet and lifestyle counseling, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, prescription medications, physical medicine, and in many states we can serve as primary care physicians.
I am incredibly grateful to work as a Naturopathic Physician. My primary goal is to provide personalized healthcare and make recommendations that cultivate vitality and restore balance.
I fully believe in the body's innate wisdom to heal and seek balance. Sometimes we encounter roadblocks or obstacles to healing along our journey. As a physician, I feel called to help understand your story. Understand how your unique circumstances contributed to where you are now. This process involves forming a doctor-patient relationship based on trust and respect; and often this means spending more time together than other medical providers you have previously worked with. Healing is a journey and I want to support you along the way. To support the body's ability to heal, I strive to understand:
These are a few of the areas that are generally covered in the initial visit. Healing is a courageous act that requires love, support, dedication, and persistence.
I also believe that medicine can be proactive. Even, if you don't have a specific health concern, there are many ways we can work together to approach health from a proactive, rather than reactive viewpoint. Our current medical model is set up to be reactive, that is, treating symptoms after they've already arisen. However, through training and personal experience, proactive health can prevent symptoms from occurring in the first place by addressing systems of the body that may need specific support.
I focus on botanical medicines, biotherapeutic drainage, and energetic-based treatments that help restore balance in a gentle, safe, and effective way. Customized treatment plans may include:
